Session 14 teaches of the Lord’s covenant with Israel and His giving of the Ten Commandments at Mt. Sinai. The children of Israel were terrified by the fire, smoke, thunder, and lightning that accompanied Yahweh’s voice and asked that the Lord speak directly to Moses only. Yahweh gave other commandments to Moses and promised that in the future, He would speak to Israel through a prophet, a promise which foreshadowed Jesus Christ. Verses: Ex. 16:13-36; 17:1-7; 19:1-25; 20:1-2; 24:1-8; Deut. 4:10-14; 5:1-5, 22-27; 18:14-19 Teacher: John Schoenheit
