Cyrus decreed that the Jews be allowed to return to Jerusalem and provided for the rebuilding of the Temple. After its completion, Ezra arrived, followed by Nehemiah, who led the rebuilding of the wall of the city. Daniel remained in Babylon serving Cyrus.
